The exchange that froze

The problem

A trader's holdings were locked when the Indian crypto exchange he used was hacked. The platform then proposed a restructuring that would spread the loss across every user — and gave him a short window to vote on it.

What we did

We read the scheme before he voted. We preserved his claim in the restructuring with evidence of his balance on the day of the hack, served a formal notice on the platform, and filed a complaint on the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal so the loss was on record with law enforcement.
